A legendary singer, she has been dubbed the Queen of the Salsa. During her artistic life, both in Cuba and in the United States, where she established herself definitely in 1960, she recorded tens of albums for which she deserved plenty of prizes including several decorations such as the National Endowment for the Arts, in the United States.
